Charnwood Commercial Bodies has launched a new website designed to better reflect the scale of the business, the quality of its vehicles and the range of services it now provides.
The previous website had been created internally and had served the company during an earlier stage of its development. However, as Charnwood’s product range, team and manufacturing capabilities continued to grow, the site no longer gave customers a complete picture of the business or the vehicles it could produce.
The new website presents Charnwood’s commercial vehicle range through clearer navigation, more detailed product information and a stronger focus on the practical benefits of each body design. Visitors can explore the company’s Low Loaders, traditional commercial bodies, refrigerated and freezer vehicles, traffic management vehicles, milk floats and electric vehicle options.
It also provides more information about Charnwood’s design and manufacturing capabilities, alongside its aftersales services, including warranty and repairs, replacement parts and specialist fibreglass work. The aim was to create a useful resource for customers while making it easier to find the right vehicle or service for their requirements.
Charley Harris of Charnwood Commercial Bodies said:
“The new website represents the business much more accurately and gives customers a far better understanding of what we do. Our old site had been created in-house and had done its job, but Charnwood has developed considerably since then. The new website brings all of our vehicles and services together and presents them in a much clearer and more professional way.”
The project was developed by Leicester-based web design studio 77 Rockets, which worked closely with Charnwood to organise the company’s expanding range and create a website that could continue to grow alongside the business.
Antz White, Creative Director at 77 Rockets, said:
“Charnwood is a well-established manufacturer with a strong product range, but that was not coming across through the old website. Our job was to understand the business properly, simplify a large amount of technical information and present it in a way that is useful to customers. The result is a much stronger digital platform that reflects both the quality of the vehicles and the scale of the company behind them.”
Alongside the new design, much of the existing website content has been reviewed, expanded and reorganised. Product pages now explain the applications and advantages of each vehicle more clearly, while the wider site gives greater prominence to Charnwood’s experience, specialist knowledge and ability to develop vehicles around individual operational requirements.
The website has also been designed to perform effectively across desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones, allowing customers to browse Charnwood’s range and make enquiries from wherever they are working.
For Charnwood, the launch is more than a visual update. It provides the company with a professional online presence that reflects how far the business has progressed and creates a stronger foundation for its continued growth.
